Olivia and Kelton with their promposal during sixth period Eagle Eye.

Senior Olivia Watson knew she wanted to go to prom with someone who made the night one to remember. when she was thinking of guys to go with, sophomore Kelton Raabe instantly came to mind. With the help of his classmates Lucia Isenberg and Makenna Bauer, Olivia was able to make to promposal possible. Olivia’s promposal is against all promposal stereotypes; a senior asked a sophomore and the girl asked the guy.

By combining her love for puns and subtle roasts, she made the best promposal ever. She made a poster the day before the promposal and wrote “I’m asking a sophomore to prom. Sue me. PROM?”and included a picture of the iconic Michael Scott from the hit television series “The Office” at the bottom of the poster saying “Sue Me”.

Promposer: Olivia Watson

Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked them.

OW: “I made sure he would actually go with me through Makenna Bauer and Lucia Isenberg. After I found out he would, I went to Dollar General, got a blank poster and Skittles and M&M’s. I made a slight roast and added a pun saying “I’m Asking a Sophomore to Prom. Sue Me. PROM?” with a picture of Michael Scott from “The Office” saying “Sue Me” at the bottom.”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

OW: “Kelton is a pretty fun dude and I know he would make my senior prom great.”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

OW: “It was original…I’m just good at making puns.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

OW: “He’s my friend and fellow Reese’s candy lover.”

Promposee: Kelton Raabe

Eagle Eye: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

KR: “I think she asked me because of my great personality and of course my looks.”

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

KR: “I was working in Eagle Eye and she came in with a sign and asked me to prom. It made me feel great that she asked me.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

KR: “Yes, Makenna Bauer asked me a few days in advance if I would say yes to Olivia.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

KR: “We should win the contest because the promposal couldn’t have been better.”
