Eagle Eye Promposal Contest: A Bomb.Com Prom

Anna and Tyler

Junior Tyler Gunsallus and Anna Beck have been together for almost two years, and Anna knew she wanted Tyler to prompose but didn’t know when he actually would.

By going into a math class full of students, Tyler had his friends and Mr. Shedd help him prompose by making the poster and having Shedd draw a bomb on the board with the word “Prom?” as he walked into the class holding a sign that read “It would be BOMB if we went to Prom?”

Promposer: Tyler Gunsallus

Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked them.

Tyler Gunsallus: “Jayde LaRosa, Paige Hunter, and Mr. Shedd helped. I drew a bomb on the board and made a math problem out of it. Then I walked in and asked her.”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

TG: “She is my girlfriend.”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

TG: “It took a lot of thinking on what to do, but it finally came to me.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

TG: “She is my girlfriend.”

Promposee: Anna Beck

Eagle Eye: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

Anna Beck: “He’s my boyfriend.”

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

AB: “I was in Algebra II when Mr. Shedd finished going over the lesson and switched to a slide with a bomb that said “Prom?” at that moment he walked in with a poster board. Denver Light, Andrew Ferguson, Logan Reader followed and filmed it. I was excited, and oddly nervous.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

AB: “Yes, I kept asking him to do it. I just didn’t know when it was going to happen.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

AB: “We should win because we have been together for 2 years on the 23rd, and he did it in front of people. I don’t think many people have done that.”
