Athlete of the Week: Bree Paul

Name: Bree Paul

Sport: Basketball

Grade: 12

Accomplishments:

Bree is Averaging 7.2 points per game, she led Tyrone in scoring for Punxsy, Clearfield, Juniata Valley, and Bellwood games with 14, 13, 15, and 20 points respectively.  Bree hit a game winning layup against Juniata Valley and she hit six 3-pointers against Bellwood. 

Coach Mike Whitling’s Quote:

“Bree works hard every day and brings a great attitude. She always has a smile on her face. She is such a valuable member of the team and I’m so happy she is having a great senior season.”



EE: How did you first get involved in this sport?

BP: I went to a coach Swogger camp in kindergarten 

EE: What other sport(s) or other activities are you involved in?

BP: Track

EE: Favorite professional sports team?

BP: LSU women’s basketball

EE: Favorite professional athlete?

BP: Caitlin Clark

EE: Who is your hero? Why?

BP: My parents because they’ve always pushed me to do my best.

EE: Favorite band/musician?

BP: Chris Stapleton

EE: Favorite movie?

BP: Lone Survivor 

EE: Favorite food?

BP: Steak

EE: What advice can you give to younger athletes?

BP: You can’t expect everything to be handed to you. If you have a goal, push yourself and work hard for it.

EE: What are your future goals?

BP: I am going to Penn State University and am planning on majoring in early childhood education.

Todd Cammarata, Adviser
Mr. Todd Cammarata, or "TCamm" as he is known to the Eagle Eye Staff, has been advising the Eagle Eye since 2013.  He also advises the Eagle Yearbook and teaches several other classes including US Civics and Psychology.  Cammarata grew up around journalism and photography. His dad ran a local weekly newspaper in Patton, PA for many years.  Cammarata enjoys photography and he is often a photo contributor to the Eagle Eye. In 2023 Cammarata was named the Pennsylvania Journalism Teacher of the Year by the Pennsylvania School Press Association. Under his advising, the Eagle Eye has won many state and national awards including being named the Best Student Website in Pennsylvania by the Keystone Media Awards. The Eagle Eye has also earned the SNO Distinguished Site Award every year it has been offered.
