Athletes of the Week: Bree Paul, Becca Lewis, Nicole Ramsey, & Sarah Chichester

Names: Bree Paul, Becca Lewis, Nicole Ramsey, Sarah Chichester (the girls 4×100 relay team)

Sport: Track and Field

Accomplishment: These four athletes completed the 4×1 in 50.84 seconds (FAT), a new school record!

The old record was 51.25 set by Mackenzie Latchford, Natalie Saltsgiver, Bri Foy, and Elise Gailey in 2019. Congratulations girls!

BP: I first tried it in Junior High and decided to come back out my junior year

BP: Basketball

BP: My parents because they’ve always pushed me to do my best

BP: If you want to succeed, you have to work hard and push yourself

BL: I did running club in 5th and 6th grade and ended up doing track and cross country as a long-distance runner

BL: Soccer

BL: My parents and siblings because they are very supportive in everything I do.

NR: I got involved in 7th grade by getting asked by my cousin to do it with her.

NR: Tennis and Indoor Track

NR: My hero is my dad because he pushes me to be the best athlete that I can be

NR: Some advice I would give to younger athletes is to enjoy the sport and not focus too much on the competition because is you’re not having fun it’s not going to be enjoyable for you

NR: My future goal is to just continue getting better and keep improving as the season goes on.

SC: Ever since we had Track and Field day in Elementary School I knew I wanted to run in high school, so I started in 7th grade and haven’t looked back yet

Ashton is currently a junior at Tyrone Area High School. This is his first year in Eagle Eye. In his free time, he likes to hang out with his friends and family. After high school, he plans on attending college and continuing his athletic career. Ashton is a three-sport athlete who competes in football, basketball, and baseball. This year, he plans on writing meaningful stories on sports in the Eagle Eye with his friends. One of Ashton's dreams in life is to play college football at the Division 1 level.  A fun fact about Ashton is he's easy to talk to and get along with.
