Boys Soccer records 3rd win in a row
Coming off a 2-0 week, the Golden Eagles took on the Penns Valley Rams at home Monday. The match ended as a 4-0 blowout improving the Golden Eagles winning streak to three games.
The scoring started early when within the first five minutes senior Noah D’Angelo notched goal number 12 on the year when he received a ball from sophomore Blake Johnston, which he took a few touches and scored.
After D’Angelo’s goal to start the game, both teams remained scoreless throughout the rest of the first half.

The third goal came after senior Amado Cardozo took a touch and shot after receiving a gorgeous pass from senior Nic Mallory. Cardozo also scored the last goal of the game after receiving another good through ball from senior Noah D’Angelo.
The Golden Eagle’s dominant midfield and stout defense dictated the possession of the game and held the Rams scoreless. This win earned senior Goalkeeper Anthony Politza his third shutout of the year.
“The midfield looked amazing and the defense didn’t give up an inch,” Coach Chad Hunter.
Come out Wednesday to see the Golden Eagles take on their arch nemesis the Philipsburg Mounties.
