The annual Tyrone Eagle Eye Promposal contest is now entering its fourth year.

For those who don’t know what a “promposal” is, it is a way of asking someone to prom with flowers, punny signs, or anything relatively creative. Last year we had 34 promposals entered in our contest, and this year we hope to beat that number.

This year there are four main categories: Best Overall, Funniest, Most Romantic, and Best Friend promposal. Each winner will receive a different prize.

• Best Overall– FREE Prom tickets* – an $80 value (ALL entries are eligible to win best overall).

This year we will again have prizes in three other categories.  Proposals can enter in ONE of the following categories:

• Most Romantic Promposal– Free prom flowers for the winning couple from Garden Gate Floral in Tyrone
• Best Friend Promposal– A Candy basket loaded with sweet treats
• Funniest Promposal– A $25 restaurant gift card

*Since voting is not until late April, the winner of the overall prize will receive a full refund of their prepaid prom registration fee.

All TAHS students attending the prom are eligible to enter.

To enter, submit your promposal photo to the Eagle Eye.  Send picture(s) via Instagram, Twitter, email, or stop by the Eagle Eye news room (room 230) during first, second, fifth, or eighth period. 

Also, pick up a promposal questionnaire sheet outside the Eagle Eye room and submit your answers.

Your photo and story will be published in the Eagle Eye as soon as possible.

The contest begins on Friday, February 2nd and will end on Friday, April 20th.

Winners will be determined by a vote in lunch during the last week of April.
