1st Marking Period Renaissance Star: Junior Chris Bonsell
Every marking period the Renaissance Club chooses two students from each grade level as Renaissance Stars from nominations made by the teachers.
Junior Chris Bonsell was chosen as a Renaissance Star by his chemistry teacher, Mr. Mike Funicelli.
Mr. Funicelli’s quote:
“Not only does Chris receive good grades in a very tough chemistry class, he constantly participates during class and anytime he misses is quick to pick up the missed work. He is a model student and always has a positive attitude. For these reasons, I nominate Chris.”
Eagle Eye: What is your reaction to being named a Renassiance Star?
Chris Bonsell: I was surprized actually because I wasn’t expecting recognition.
EE: What is your favorite class this school year?
CB: So far metal shop is the class I look forward to everyday, but I also look forward to my chemistry class.
EE: Who is your all-time favorite teacher?
CB: Mr.DePiro was always my favorite teacher because he knew how to keep a fun and educated class. I think many others would agree.
EE: What are some goals that you hope to accomplish this school year?
CB: My only goal this year is to keep all of my grades above a 90%.
EE: What is your favorite thing about Tyrone school District?
CB: It is somewhere I can go to be with my friends. It also allows me to escape all of the time on my hands when I get home.
