Tyrone Wrestling Blanks Hollidaysburg

The Eagles dominated the mat against Hollidaysburg, winning every bout wrestled. The only points Tyrone gave up were a forfeit at 107 lbs.

The match started at 133 where Tyrone’s Remington Fleck got a takedown early in the first period on his way to a major decision over Mason Shenk.

At 139, Cohen Wallace clinched a win against Jacob Brua, 10-3. Wallace took an entire year off and is scrapping with anyone that steps in front of him.

There was no 145 bout, but Lukas Walk and Andrew Weaver both sealed two more pins in 2:40 and 2:38 at 152 and 160. Both are still ranked in the state per Rokfin, but rankings are due to change after the two matches.

Kyle Scott and Richard Rawlings both recorded forfeits in favor of Tyrone at 172 and 189 which brought the lead to 31-0.

Senior Caleb Mckinney, weighing in at 189, took on Hollidaysburgs Hoover in which he showed off a beautiful takedown to take the lead to 2-0 in the first period. Mckinney escaped adding to his lead.

In the final period, Caleb thrilled the crowd with a powerful double-leg in which he lifted Hoover in the air. A stalling point made the final 6-0.

After a 36-second pin by returning state qualifier, Braden Ewing, Tyrone gave up its only points of the night to a 107 forfeit. Korry Walls dominated to get a 13-0 major decision over Carson Krupka.

With no bout at 121, Logan Rumberger ended the match with a pin to secure the victory, 50-6
