Last Friday against Clearfield, Tyrone shot the lights out of the gym making 11 three-pointers, but on Monday at Huntindon the Eagles went cold from outside the arc, with only 2 three-pointers.

Fortunately for the Eagles, their defense and inside game were just strong enough to spoil Senior Night for their rivals from Huntingdon.

The game was back and forth during the first half with the Bearcats up by just 2 points going into halftime.

Huntingdon serged in the fourth and going into the 4th quarter, Tyrone was down by 10.  That’s when the Eagles dug deep and applied their press against Huntingdon, causing several key turnovers on a 15-4 run that ended with a one-point 55-54  victory for the Eagles.

The leading scorer for Tyrone was senior Zack LeGars with 15 points. Other double-digit scorers were junior  Dravyn Crowell with 11, and sophomore Andrew Escala scored 10.

Tyrone faces off against Bald Eagle Area at home on their own Senior Night this Friday, February 3rd.
