Tyrone Marching Band performs at Juniata Valley Competition
Tyrone will perform again this weekend at IUP for Chapter Championships
The Tyrone Golden Eagle Marching placed fourth out of five bands Saturday October 17 at the Juniata Valley competition.
The bands from group 1A at Juniata Valley were Sheffield HS, Brockway Area,Windber Area HS, Conemaugh Twp, Juniata Valley, and Tyrone.
The competition began with the Greater Johnstown Area High School Marching Band from the group 1 open class.
In fifth place with a score of 74.28 was Sheffield HS. In 4th place with a score of 82.98 was Tyrone. In 3rd place with a score of 83.415 was brockway. in 2nd place with a score of 83.575 was Conemaugh Township, and finally, in first place with a score of 85.49 was Windber Area High School.
This Saturday October 24,2015 the Tyrone Golden Eagle Marching band travel to Indiana University of Pennsylvania for the Tournament Of Bands (TOB) Chapter 11 region championships.
The competition begins at 1:00pm. The first band to perform is Ridgeway High School at 1:00pm.
The Tyrone Golden Eagle Marching band will perform “Celtic Celebration” at 1:45 pm.
Near the end of the competition, The IUP marching band will perform their 2015 show and their arrangement of Amazing Grace.
