Tyrone Hands Red Raiders Another Loss

The Lady Eagles (6-15) faced off against the Lady Red Raiders (1-19) on February 8th, at the Bellefonte Area High School gym.

The initial minutes of the game unfolded with the Lady Eagles trailing narrowly with a score of 8-6 at the end of the first quarter.

However, the second quarter saw a remarkable shift in momentum as Tyrone took flight. The Lady Eagles netted 22 points while keeping Bellefonte’s offense to 7 points. This surge propelled the Lady Eagles to a 15-point lead by halftime.

As the game progressed into the second half, the Lady Eagles continued to score, widening the gap with each passing minute. They emerged victorious with a score of 50-35, firmly securing their dominance on the court.

Tyrone senior, Bree Paul, led her team as top scorer with an outstanding 17 points. Additionally, Alayna Woomer and Alayna Greene delivered commendable performances, each contributing 14 points to the team’s triumph.

Despite a slow start, the Lady Eagles’ persistence and adaptability shone through as they executed offensive changes and strengthened their defense, ultimately securing a victory.
