Tyrone boys and girls track score double win vs. Huntingdon and Central

Tyrone’s boys and girls track team both scored double wins on April 1 at home, defeating Huntingdon and Central.

Girls Results

The girls edged Huntingdon 75-74 and also beat Central 90-54.

Sophomore Erika Voyzey was a double winner for the Eagles, taking first in the high jump and triple jump.

In the field events, junior Mariah Robison placed in three events – first in the javelin, second in shot put, and second in the discus.

Sophomore Jordan Wiser was also a double place winner, placing first in the 1600 meter run and second in the 3200 run.

Senior Michaela Diehl took second in the 100 meter dash.

Senior Jordyn Swogger placed second in the 400 meter dash.

In the 800 meter run sophomore Emily Beam took second and junior Grace McKernan finished third.

In 300 hurdles senior Emily Iuzzolino placed first and freshman Cassie Friday was third

Tyrone also took first in the 400 relay with the team of Diehl, Swogger, Patton(Alexa), and Voyzey and the team of Beam, McKernan, Wiser, and Friday.

Freshman Shaniah Lowery placed third in shot put.

Sophomore Carly Crofcheck also placed second in javelin.

Junior Davina Lee placed third in high jump and junior Marin Grabill took second in long jump.

Boys Results

The boys beat Central 95-55 and Huntingdon 90 ½ – 59 ½ .

In the 100 dash senior Eli Sleeth took second and junior Duane Boone took third. Junior Conner Harper took third in the 200 meter dash.

Junior Jake Makdad placed second in the 400 meter dash and senior Bailey Christine took third.

Sophomore Sean Isenberg placed first in the 800 meter run and following in second was senior Conner Stroud. Sophomore Adam Zook placed second in the 1600 meter run and behind him in third was senior John Lewis.

Zook also placed second in the 3200 run, with Stroud taking third.

In the 110 hurdles, Lewis placed second.   In the 300 hurdles sophomore Will Lash took third.

In the 1600 boys relay team of Bailey Christine, Jake Makdad, Cullen Raftery , and John Lewis placed first.

The 3200 relay of Jake Makdad, Sean Isenberg, Adam Zook, and Connor Stroud also placed first.

In the field, Michael Grager and sophomore Scott Goss placed in the high jump with Grager taking second and Goss taking third.

Senior Eli Sleeth placed second  in shot put. Garrett Hunter was first in javelin and Nick Bonsell placed third in discus.

Sophomore Jacob Damon was second in pole vault with freshman Cullin Raftery in third.

The next meet will be on Thursday April 10th at home against West Branch at 4:00 pm.
