Tyrone blood drive nets 51 student donors

The Tyrone Area School District annual blood drive accumulated 51 blood-donors within the school.

The American Red Cross hosted the event on October 10, and many students actively participated.

There were baked goods and snacks for the donors, and being high schoolers, of course the food was finished within the blink of an eye.

Relaxing with friends is always a bonus when potentially saving lives comes into the equation.

“It is a positive feeling knowing I have helped someone somewhere down the line,” said blood donor and Tyrone high school junior Molly Laporte.

Thriving all day of October 9th, this blood drive was a benefit to all the community and a blessing to many.
