Tyrone Band Places First at Juniata Valley High School

Saturday went pretty well. It was great to be able to see a lot of other bands in our category. The students still have plenty of room for growth in cleaning and improving their show performance.

The Tyrone Golden Eagle Marching Band placed first in their division at Juniata Valley High School.

Tyrone earned a score of 83.750 which was good enough to win group 1A.

Saturday went pretty well. It was great to be able to see a lot of other bands in our category. The students still have plenty of room for growth in cleaning and improving their show performance. We will continue to clean and develop for the best performance possible over the coming weeks,” said Tyrone Band Director David Hock.

In 2nd place was Elk County Catholic with a score of 81.890. In 3rd place was Mount Union with a score of 78.380. In 4th place was Jersey Shore with a score of 75.690. In 5th place was Westmont Hilltop with a score of 75.125. Juniata Valley was hosting the show and they recieved a score of 77.050.

The band is currently in first place in the Atlantic Coast Championship rankings with a score of 83.750. Tyrone is ahead of the Pemberton High School band with a score of 83.475.

The next show for Tyrone is Mechanicsburg High School. The show starts at 5:00 pm. The bands competing in class 1A include: Walkersville High School, Upper Dauphin High School, and West Perry High School. The band will perform at 5:15 pm. The Shippensburg University Marching Band will perform as a special guest at the show
