With the month of October upon us, frighteningly fun activities are right around the corner. Costumes fill the store shelves, pumpkins, ghosts, and skeletons sit out in the yards, and sweet treats are always within reach. Who would ever want to miss out on a season so spooky-sweet?

Are you looking for a family-friendly way to get your Halloween fix? Well, look no further! The TAHS Youth Action Network (YAN) is back once again for its annual Halloween Event!

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the YAN Halloween Event is a free event for all families in the Tyrone Area School District! Come to join us at the Tyrone Area High School on Tuesday, October 24th for an evening full of movement, costumes, and, of course, candy! From 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, classrooms with be decked out with activities for kids of all ages, including a photobooth, class-specific projects and games, and enough goodies for all!

Participating in this event are 18 different Tyrone clubs and groups, so there will most definitely be something for everyone to enjoy! While admission is free to the public, YAN members encourage anyone able to donate during the event. Suggested donation amounts are $3 per individual and $5 for a family of any size. The proceeds collected from the evening will be split to support both the Panzi Hospital in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Tyrone Area Food Bank.

Families in attendance are encouraged to come dressed in their best Halloween costumes or attire! Many of the club members helping to facilitate the event will also be in costume, and we would love to see the community all dressed up for the season!

The Annual YAN Halloween Event promises to be a fun-filled night from beginning to end, so we hope to see you there!
