The 1-4 Golden Eagles are desperate for a win this Friday as they clash with the 3-2 Bald Eagle Area Eagles. Tyrone’s playoff hopes could very well be in the balance.

Bellefonte manhandled the Golden Eagles last Friday putting up 28 points within the first half. Tyrone’s offense managed to score going into the half to keep the Golden Eagles within striking distance but it was not meant to be as the Raiders went on to win 49-14.

Bald Eagle has had their ups and downs so far this season. They came out on the short end the past two weeks but they were strong out of the gates this season. Last week against Central was mediocre as the Dragons soared to a 35-7 victory.

Tyrone is looking to get back into the hunt this Friday. Last week was sloppy but the Golden Eagles look to turn the tide and add to Bald Eagle’s two game skid. Tyrone showed promise two weeks ago but they took a step back against the Red Raiders.

The Bald Eagle linebacker department has gained a good reputation for generally being quick. The weakness for the Bald Eagle defense is definitely been their front line where they typically are slow off the ball. If Tyrone can exploit their weakness up front, they surely will be able to move the ball.

The Bald Eagle offense began the season decently but their past two outings have been very sub par. They only were able to post six points on Chestnut Ridge and seven against Central. These recent hardships for Bald Eagle cannot be taken lightly, they must not be underestimated.

Tyrone special teams was solid but everything else was not so great. Hopefully the Golden Eagles can bounce back against Bald Eagle.

“If we come out and smash ‘em in the mouth, we will win this game,” said junior Chandler Carper.
