TAHS promposal contest: Double latte with prom?
Sean McGovern and Jenna Chronister are Week 1’s featured promposal couple
Junior Sean McGovern didn’t have to think too hard to find a way to ask his date to the prom in a very special, personal way.
Sean buys Starbucks drinks at Sheetz for sophomore Jenna Chronister all the time, so he knew that planting his “promposal” in a Starbucks drink would be a great way to ask her to prom.
Jenna was expecting Sean to ask her to prom, but she was still surprised by how he did it.
“At first I didn’t even open the bottle he gave me, but he kept telling me to do it. I was confused at first but after I did I was like, oh, yeah!” said Chronister.
She accepted Sean’s “promposal” right away.
“Originally I had the idea of giving her a bottle of Snapple with the promposal in the cap and asking her what’s the ‘Snapple fact’? But since I always buy her Starbucks drinks at Sheetz, I figured that was the way to go,” said McGovern.
Sean and Jenna are definitely excited to be going to prom together.
“She is very pretty, and we’re great friends,” said McGovern.
“I’m excited to get all dressed up and get my hair and makeup done,” said Chronister.
