TAHS promposal contest: A Valentine’s day surprise!
Sam Aungst and TAHS grad Bailey Christine are Week 8’s featured promposal
Just because some TAHS students’ prom dates have graduated hasn’t stopped them from their promposals. Senior Sam Aungst asked TAHS grad Bailey Christine to her senior prom using a Valentine’s Day surprise.
Sam had hidden a note asking Bailey to prom at the bottom of a bucket full of his favorite candy, Reese’s peanut butter cups, which she gave him for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, Bailey didn’t ot notice the note in the bottom of the container and went back to college, oblivious of the promposal.
Luckily, Sam’s friend Olivia Dickson took matters into her own hands and posted on Bailey’s Facebook wall telling him to look at the bottom of his bucket.
“Bailey and I both thought that this was the funniest part of me asking him,” said Aungst.
Sam was nervous to see Bailey’s reaction to the promposal. She had a good idea that he would say yes, but the waiting was extremely nerve-wracking.
Bailey was very surprised that Sam asked him to prom, since it is unusual for the girl to ask a date, but it was still a good surprise. However if it weren’t for Olivia’s “subtle” hint on Facebook, he wouldn’t have found the promposal.
Sam and Bailey are looking forward to spending prom together, since they are close friends, and enjoying every moment of the day.
