TAHS Promposal Contest: A Thoughtful Promposal
Senior Will Lash and sophomore McKenzie Johnson are Week 3’s featured promposal.
Senior Will Lash thought outside the box whenever he promposed to his girlfriend sophomore McKenzie Johnson.
Unlike the rest of our promposals, Will didn’t use balloons, posters or anything showy. Like a true romantic, Will wrote McKenzie a poem to ask her to prom.
“I wanted to do something special,” said Lash, “And not just an ordinary balloon and poster promposal, so I began thinking of ideas. My mom and McKenzie’s mom helped, but I thought it would be nice to just write a poem.”
McKenzie was very surprised that Will asked her to prom and she knew she couldn’t say no.
“I’m in love with her, simple as that,” said Lash, “I wouldn’t want to go with anyone else and I’m so thankful to have her in my life.”
Both Will and McKenzie are looking forward to spending prom together, but Will is so excited to see how beautiful McKenzie looks in her dress!
