The Tyrone High School Guidance department will hold free half hour informational meetings on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as FAFSA, on February 24, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm in room 108 at the high school.
“This event is a great chance for parents of post secondary bound students. Every student and parent who is planning to go to college or any post secondary school should do this,” said guidance office assistant Jeri Veit, “I’ve personally attended this program with one of my daughters and its very helpful.”
Daniel Wray from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will be present to assist parents and students with the financial aid process and answer questions and concerns.
This program will help inform parents and students of options for financial aid in the form of scholarships, loans and grants. The FAFSA form must be completed in order for anyone to attend any university, college, or trade school.
