Popeye has his spinach, Thor calls down thunder and Donald Trump has his luscious hair. But nothing can compare to Gary Weaver and his magical mustard.

Since he first used this yellow elixir week one against Bellwood, Weaver has totaled 1,507 yards and 20 touchdowns. One can only imagine the immense worth of a authentic game used bottle of mustard consumed by the grid-iron phenom.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Eagle Eye fans guessed the score of Friday’s game against Huntingdon in hopes of possessing this exquisite piece of Tyrone Football history.

But there can only be one winner.  Eighth Grade English teacher Anne Maddox guess of 28-24 Tyrone was closest to the actual score of 24-21, making her the lucky winner.

Maddox could barely contain her excitement.

“I can honestly say that I am surprised and honored to receive such a unique piece of Tyrone memorabilia,” said Maddox, “I’m proud to know that I not only guessed the score, but was closer than Mrs. Cannistraci.”

Maddox has decided to prominently display the magic bottle in her classroom. No doubt, it will be idolized by Tyrone students for many years to come.

Weaver’s mustard powers were on full display this week as he shredded the Bearcat defense for 242 yards and three touchdowns and helped guide Golden Eagles to the second round of the District VI Playoffs.

Forget Spiderman and Batman, Gary Weaver is Tyrone’s real hero.
