This week’s PA band spotlight is Gas Station Disco.
Gas Station Disco is an alternative rock band from Harrisburg, PA. They blend a mixture of rock, pop, and punk and are a self-described “party band”.
Gas Station Disco was formed by a group of friends in 2008 to create music to party to all night long.
Jason Dumm is on vocals and occasionally guitars, Rob Hampton on drums, Mike Reed on lead guitar and Jonathan Price on bass.
They wrote nonstop for a year playing occasional shows.
In 2009, they hit the studio and released their debut EP entitled Dance Floored with their leadoff single Dance Floor hitting radio’s around the Harrisburg area.
Soon Gas Station Disco skyrocketed in popularity across Pennsylvania.
They began extensively tour throughout Pennsylvania and the surrounding states getting to play with bands like Jet City Vega, Egypt Central, Aranda, and Burn Halo.
In late 2012, they announced that they would release of their debut CD sometime in the summer of 2013.
Gas Station Disco will be touring to support their debut CD starting in May through the rest of 2013.
Gas Station Disco has a bright future ahead of them with a clear path to follow.
