The Lady Eagles Soccer team sent Huntingdon home with a 5-1 loss after a high-intensity game that was well-fought by Tyrone.

Junior Chloe LaRosa had a hattrick and senior Lindsey Parks added two assists in the Lady Eagles victory over Huntingdon.

“We played a good game and we hope to beat them again the next time we play them,” said Parks.

At the beginning of the half, the ball was stuck in the midfield with a few shots taken on both goals. It wasn’t until eleven minutes into the half that Tyrone was able to break past Huntingdon’s defensive line and score a goal in the top corner of the net.

The play began with multiple passes connecting within the midfield. Parks then crossed the ball from the right side of the field to junior Chloe LaRosa who was running up the center of the field. LaRosa was able to take a few touches and then shoot into the top right corner of the net.

Eight minutes later, Tyrone scored their second goal after a shot from LaRosa deflected off one of Huntingdon’s defensive players and fell in their goal.

Later in the half, a foul was called on Huntingdon and senior Jaylee Shuke took the ball and made a quick pass to LaRosa. LaRosa then immediately turned to goal for an easy shot in the bottom corner of the net.

The first half ended with a 3-0 Tyrone lead over Huntingdon, but Tyrone knew the game wasn’t over just yet.

Tyrone jogged back onto the field in the second half of the game and immediately started to take more shots at the opposing team’s goal.

LaRosa was able to score her third goal of the game after a pass from junior Avalyn Moore landed in front of the goal. LaRosa made some moves around the central defender of Huntingdon and then shot the ball into the back of the net.

Tyrone’s final goal of the game was scored by freshman Lexi Hess after a pass from senior Lindsey Parks led her to dribble through the center of the field and shoot to the corner of the net.

Huntingdon’s lone goal was scored by Staley after she was able to break through the midfield and split the central defenders to shoot in the right corner of the net.
