The Tyrone Lady Eagles unleashed a Stampede of three pointers on the Clearfield Lady Bison Tuesday night as they defeated them 63-18 to maintain their unmarked Mountain League Record.

The Lady Eagles knocked down 11 threes in the game with 7 of them coming in the first quarter. Stephanie Ramsey had 4 threes on the game to go along with 2 from Shannon Shaw, 3 from Emma Getz, and three from Maci Brodzina.

Tyrone was firing on all cylinders from the opening tip off. They exploded out of the gate for 30 points in the first quarter. Their defense suffocated the Bison offense holding them to single digits in every quarter.

Tyrone’s offense stayed hot in the second quarter while their defense played even better. Tyrone put up 20 more points while holding Clearfield to 4 giving them a 50-11 lead at the end of the first half.

Tyrone’s offense slowed down in the second half but their defense kept their comfortable lead. They held the Bison to only 7 points over the final two quarters. With the victory Tyrone moves to 13-2 on the season and one step closer to the coveted Mountain League title.

The Lady Eagles are back in action Friday night as they host Bald Eagle in senior night.
