Lady Eagles fall short to Lady Dragons

The rain didn’t hold back this game as the Scarlet Dragons had to overcome 2 deficits to win the game 5-3 @Central High School.

Marissa Panasiti, on a breakaway, eluded a defender twice and tricked the keeper to open the scoring for the Lady Eagles. Eight minutes later, Ashley Negley, from Central tied the game with a shot in the upper near corner from 18 yards out.

The half ended at 1-1. Tyrone then took the lead with a cross from Riley D’Angelo to GG Bowser who finished it off with a score 2-1 with .44 seconds into the second half. Tyrone on a forward pass from D’Angelo to Marissa Panasiti beat the defender and the keeper for another score to take the lead 3-1.

Central didnt give up as Negley found the net inside the 18 to make it 3-2.One minute later Olivia Smith, on a breakaway, beat the keeper to tie the game maming it 3-3.

Central then found a way to score as Cassie Mock chipped the ball over the keeper making the game 4-3. With 8 minutes left Smith chipped a 30 yard ball to finish off the Lady eagle with the final score 5-3.

Tyrone caught Central offsides 15 times during the game and the eagles advanced there way in corners seven to five. Central registered 31 shots on goal while Tyrone had 16. Maddy Bartek from central had 16 keeper saves to Maddie Noll of Tyrone’s 18 saves.
