The Tyrone Lady Eagles soccer team handed Philipsburg Osceola a 6-2 road loss on Tuesday, September 14th in Tyrone.

Tyrone junior Chloe LaRosa had a hat trick and assisted on a fourth goal to help lead the team to their second win of the season. Tyrone juniors Avalyn Moore and Eliza Vance also added goals to the Mounties’ defeat.

Within the first five minutes against Philipsburg, Moore scored the first goal of the game on an assist from LaRosa.

Philipsburg then managed to hit Tyrone back a few minutes later, but the Lady Eagles weren’t finished.

The Lady Eagles kept pressuring the ball and scored four unanswered goals in the second half to put the game away. Three goals were made by LaRosa. LaRosa’s first goal of the game was assisted by Vance. LaRosa then went on to have an unassisted goal and another assisted one by Bellwood sophomore Annie Bardell.

Vance pulled through to score the last goal of the game when she ran up the side of the goal and shot in the top corner of the net.

PO scored one more goal in the 78th minute, but by then Tyrone had the game well in hand.
