Coming off a big win in week three we now know what we are capable of doing.  Crushing the Bearcats 52-21 was a feat.

At the start of the first quarter we were a little slow moving the ball. Penalties played a big role in that – it felt like every step we took in the right direction we took two steps back.  But eventually we got it together and finished with a strong performance.

Needless to say, the Huntingdon game got us pumped up and gave us great momentum moving into week four of practice.

Starting off the week we had a pretty good offensive practice.

However, at one point senior center Mark Lewis forgot his rules and the coaches made him scream his assignment.   But other than a few dropped balls and missed alignments, we had a solid offensive practice week.

Our defense came out of the gates a little flat this week.   But as the week progressed our defense picked it back up, stopping Coach Elvey (who was playing look team QB) cold in his tracks.

The coaches reminded us  that Phillipsburg is a lot better up front than the team we played last week.

But really, our only opponent this week is ourselves, we are the only ones that can beat us.

The coaches also pointed out that most teams play their best game of their year against Tyrone, so we have to be prepared for anything.

With a high of 61 degrees on Friday and traveling up the mountain be prepared for a pretty chilly game.

Our team will win because we have experience.   Again, we will Out-Condition Our Opponent. And we will be playing old school Tyrone, smash-mouth football.

It’s all about #5 tonight boys…let’s get lucky and MASH THE MOUNTIES!
