The Golden Eagles suffered another tough loss on Monday when they took a 16-1 beating by the Clearfield Bison, Clearfield erupted in the first inning for 16 runs off of Micah Woomer ultimately ending the ending the game.

Tyrone’s bats were nowhere to be found in the game as they only collected two hits in the game. The hits were produced by Kevin Lehner and Matthew Savino. Lehner also drove in Tyrone’s only run with an RBI double in the top of the third inning.

Tyrone was plagued by errors and strong winds that led to a few missed balls by both outfielders and infielders

With the loss Tyrone falls to 3-8 on the season, with a 2-7 record in the Mountain League.

About the Contributors
Michael Stoner, Sports Editor

Hi, I’m Michael Stoner. I’m currently a 11th grader at Tyrone Area High School, and this is my second year as a member of the Eagle Eye staff. This year, I hope to write the baseball articles. I would also like to write all of this years football articles. After high school I plan to attend college and pursue a degree in journalism and hopefully write for ESPN or be a sports commentator. Some of my hobbies include watching football, hockey and baseball (basically anything that has to do with sports). I also enjoy playing airsoft with my friends. My favorite sports teams are Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Anaheim Ducks, Pittsburgh Pirates and Seattle Seahawks. At school I am involved in baseball and National Honors Society.
