The Tyrone girls’ soccer team will celebrate their seniors today, October 3rd against Clearfield Area High School.  Senior Night activities begin at 5:15 and the game will start at 6 pm.

The six seniors are Bellwood’s Annalyse Bardell and Lainey Quick, Tyrone’s MacKenzie Gunsallus, Rebecca Lewis, Makenzie Soellner, and Madison Whitby.

“I am not looking forward to senior night only because I am very sad about leaving a team with which I have built such strong bonds. I am excited to celebrate all the seniors, but it is bittersweet,” Soellner said.

Four of the six seniors have been starters this year.

Captain Lainey Quick is the starting left-attacking midfielder. Quick has a tremendous impact on Tyrone’s play with eight goals so far this season.

Captain Rebecca Lewis is the starting sweeper in the back line. She is a very trustworthy player who anchors the back line.

Captain Maddy Whitby is the starting left outside defender. She is a very effective defender and very impactful on the backline.

Makenzie Soellner is the starting center defender. She is always in the right spot keeping the ball out of the 18-yard line.

Reserve defender MacKenzie Gunsallus usually comes into the game at the center-back position.

Annie Bardell is a versatile player who often switches between midfield and forward, providing fresh legs to the Tyrone offense.

Be there, support our seniors, and let’s beat Clearfield!
