Eagle Eye Promposal Contest: To Bee or Not To Bee?
Bellwood Junior Hunter O’Shell made the ultimate pun Promposal with the iconic “Bee Movie” for his girlfriend, junior Paige Hunter.
O’Shell made the bee line the night before Valentine’s day, and drove to her house after school with the poster and her favorite candy. His poster read “Hey Honey, you’d make me Barry happy if you’d bee my date to Prom”, and was accompanied with pictures of Barry the Bee and lines from the movie.
Promposer: Hunter O’Shell
Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked them.
Hunter O’Shell: “I stayed up until one in the morning on the night before the night before Valentine’s Day making a Bee Movie themed poster. After school I drove to her house and surprised her the poster and her favorite candy. Then I took her to Applebees.”
EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?
HO: “She’s my girlfriend.”
EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?
HO: “We have watched the movie together and looked at memes of it.”
EE: What relationship do you have with this person?
HO: “I am her boyfriend.”

Eagle Eye: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?
Paige Hunter: “He is my boyfriend so I was expecting it. I didn’t know when he was going to do it. I was pleasantly surprised.”
EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.
PH: “He brought a poster on Valentine’s Day. It was “Bee Movie” themed and he gave me candy. Then he took me to Applebees which is ironic.”
EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?
PH: “Yes. He’s my boyfriend, but I didn’t know when though.”
EE: Why should you win the contest?
PH: “The “Bee Movie” is iconic.
