Eagle Eye Promposal Contest: The Element of Surprise
Tyanne Weyant and Taylor Hoover have been best friends since time could tell, and of course it seemed fitting that they would attend their last prom together. Tyanne wanted to surprise Taylor and ask her to prom in a creative way. With the help of Erica Swisher, Tyanne used the elements Praseodymium, Oxygen, and Manganese to form the letters (or as close as possible to them) of P.R.O.M.
Promposer: Tyanne Weyant
Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked this person to prom.
TW: The weekend before, I printed out the cards. The first said “This is a bit nerdy but…” the next was the element Praseodymium (Pr), then oxygen (O), then Manganese (Mn), and then a huge question mark. That Monday, I waited for the right time to tape them of her locker with Erica Swisher. When we walked by the locker, she saw it and of course she said yes.
EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?
TW: She’s a very good friend who deserves to go with someone.
EE: Where do you get the inspiration for the idea?
TW: The idea just came to me while was trying to think of a way to ask her.
EE: What relationship do you have with this person?
TW: She’s my best friend
Promposee: Taylor Hoover
EE: Give us your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?
TH: Tyanne is my best friend and we were already planning on going together. We were planning to get matching corsages that match both our dresses.
EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.
TH: I was super surprised I had already stopped at my locker that morning so I wasn’t expecting it at all. I almost walked right past it without noticing.
EE: Did you have suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?
TH: I knew she said that she was going to ask me, but I had forgotten that she was planning on it!
