Eagle Eye Promposal Contest: The Beauty and her Beast
Junior Asher Christine gathered up his courage and asked his girlfriend, Kamryn Mercer from Bellwood, to Prom in front of a room full of people exiting the theater. After watching the new movie Beauty and the Beast, Kamryn was shocked to find Asher waiting in the lobby with a glass-covered rose and an iconic sign that read “I may not be a beast, but you sure are a beauty! Prom?”
Promposer: Asher Christine
Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked this person.
AC: I decided to do it after she watched the new Beauty and the Beast movie. I said “I may not be a beast, but you sure are a beauty! Prom?”
EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?
AC: The Beauty and the Beast movie
EE: What relationship do you have with this person?
AC: She’s my girlfriend
Promposee: Kamryn Mercer
EE: Give us your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?
KM: We are really close and going together would be very fun.
EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.
KM: I went with my friends to see Beauty and the Beast and I was promposed afterwards with a board and a rose in a glass in front of a crowd of people. I was so excited and surprised and I can’t wait to go to prom with my best friend.
EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?
KM: I knew he’d ask me but not when or how. It was worth the wait though because it was the best one I’ve seen yet.
EE: Why should you win the contest?
KM: I think we should win because it was the most thoughtful promposal I’ve ever seen. Also, he did it in front of a crowd of people.
