Senior Mike Updike asked his close friend senior Emily McGarvery to prom. Mike’s sign includes fun wordplay about the video game Fortnite. Mike’s sign left Emily in tears of joy.

Eagle Eye: Describe how you asked them to prom…

MU: I surprised Emily with the sign.

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

MU: Because her boyfriend could not go.

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

MU: I got the idea from a friend

Promposee: Emily McGarvey

Eagle Eye: Describe your reaction to the promposal. Were you surprised? Was it funny? Romantic? Sarcastic?

EM: I was almost in tears.

EE: Did you know that they were going to ask you or was it a total surprise?

EM: No it was a total surprise.

EE: Why should you win the contest?

EM: Because this is the first one.

The contest begins on Friday, March 17th, and will end on Wednesday, April 26th.
