Eagle Eye Promposal Contest: May I Have This Dance?
Junior Andrew Ferguson wanted to make his promposal special for his girlfriend, senior Faythe Lewis. Ferguson put weeks of thought and effort into his promposal and finally came up with the perfect idea with the help of one of Faythes good friends, Torrie Foy.
He incorporated Faythes senior solo and duet dance song titles for her 2018 competition season for Dance Fusion into his promposal. Ferguson surprised Faythe at her house with a sign that said, “Both of Us” could go SOLO; you could watch a DUET on “Television” what’s the chance I can have the first dance…PROM?”
Promposer: Andrew Ferguson

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?
AF: “She’s my girlfriend!”
Promposee: Faythe Lewis
EE: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?
FL: “We were getting to know each other at first and both agreed that we would have a lot of fun together at prom. Our friend Torrie Foy helped Andrew plan it out and I was really surprised.”
EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.
FL: “I had no idea when we was going to ask me, and I was very surprised. He had came to my house and I noticed the sign when Andrew had got out of his car. I was very excited and happy. I thought it was very clever because my solo is called, ‘Both of Us’ and my duet is called, ‘Television’.”
EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?
FL: “Yes Andrew and I had talked about going initially before he asked me in person. I was surprised though because I had no idea when, where, or how he was going to ask me.”
EE: Why should you win the contest?
FL: “The idea was unique and related closely to my life so I believe we should win the contest.”
