Eagle Eye Promposal Contest: Heart Shaped PROM?

Emilee Walk & Zac Jamison

Senior Zac Jamison found a romantic way to ask sophomore girlfriend Emilee Walk to his senior prom. Jamison snuck over to his girlfriend’s house on a clear night and set candles outside in a heart shape and held a sign that said “PROM?” Meanwhile, he played their song, “All of Me” by John Legend. Jamison chose this song because they danced to it over a year ago at the 2017 Snowball.

Emilee’s mother and sister assisted Jamison by keeping Emilee distracted while he set up the promposal. “I wouldn’t been able to make the promposal as perfect as I did without their help,” said Zac Jamison.

Promposer: Zac Jamison

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

ZJ: “She is my girlfriend and I wouldn’t want to take anyone else to prom.”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

ZJ: I thought of it when I was trying to come up with a Homecoming proposal in October, but I decided to save it for prom so that her promposal was even more special than her homecoming one.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

ZJ: “She is my girlfriend!”

Promposee: Emilee Walk

EE: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

EW : “Zac and I have been dating for a year and three months and I had already known that we were going to prom together. I had no idea how he was going to ask me and I was very surprised. He did a perfect job.”

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

EW: “I was with my sister in her room when my mother came in and asked where the music was coming from, I walked into my room and saw that my window was open and when I walked over to the window to see where the music was coming from, I saw candles in the shape of a heart and Zac holding flowers and a prom sign. The song that was playing was our song and I was so happy that he asked me that way.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

EW: “I knew that Zac was going to prompose to me, I just didn’t know when or how.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

AL: “Zac put a lot of planning, work, and thought into the promposal. They way he promposed to me was so romantic and creative and I had no words when he did it. It was simple but yet so meaningful and I’m very lucky to have him.”
