Freshman Lucia Isenberg is a swimmer on the Tyrone Swim team. Junior Logan Reader found a creative way to incorporate Lucia’s love for swimming into his promposal.

While over at Lucia’s house, Logan held up a sign along with a bag of Swedish fish that said “Forget fly, back, breast, and free…will you swim to PROM with me?” Logan wanted to ask Lucia to prom because she is his girlfriend.

EE: How did you ask them?

LR: “I brought her a sign that had to do with swimming and Swedish fish because she likes to swim so much.”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

LR: “Because she is my amazing girlfriend!”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

LR: “I thought about it for awhile, and I knew she really liked swimming, so I thought this right up.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

LR: “Girlfriend”

EE: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

LI: “I mean we are dating, so I hoped he would ask me.”

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

LI: “I was super happy. It was really sweet and personal to me.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

LI: “Yeah, we had casually talked about prom before. I figured that he was going to ask me soon.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

LI: “It was really individual to me and he totally came up with it on his own. Plus, it was so cute.”
