Juniors Nic Light and Brianna Foy have been dating for a year, and Nic knew he wanted to make their first prom special, and that meant making Brianna’s first promposal special too.

Nic had the promposal ready so when they came home from being at her house all day, she opened the door and saw the words “PROM?” spelled out with candles on his living room table. Nic had rose petals on the table with a vase of red roses sitting near by. He also placed balloons near the vase and a small balloon saying “I love you” in the vase with the flowers.

Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked them.

NL: “I wrote out PROM? in candles on my living room table and waited till it was dark so we could light them. I put rose pedals all over the table and in the corner. I had a vase with pink and red heart balloons. There was a group of roses in the vase and a smaller balloon that said “I love you” on it. My mom took the video inside because we were coming back from her house.”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

NL: “We’ve been dating for over a year.” 

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

NL: “I looked up ideas online and the flowers/candles looked like the best choice for her.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

NL: “She’s my girlfriend.”

Eagle Eye: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

BF: “He asked me because we are dating. Although I wanted him to prompose, I didn’t actually think he would.” 

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

BF: “He was at my house all day, and we were taking him home. We got to his house and I opened the door to see on the table roses and balloons with “Prom” spelled out in candles. I was very surprised, but super excited when I walked into the house to see how he promposed to me.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

BF: “I knew he was going to ask me, but I didn’t know when or how. I was bugging him the entire day asking if he was ever going to ask not knowing he already had it planned for that night.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

BF: “Nic spent a lot of time and put in a lot of effort to make it very special for me.”
