Brittany Chamberlin knew she wanted to go to prom with her boyfriend Hunter McGarvey, so she combined his love of video games into the promposal.

Brittany told Hunter to go into the next room while she got the promposal ready. She then showed him a poster reading “Stop Playing Around and Be My Date to Prom?”. For Hunter’s first prom, she wanted to make it the best promposal it could possibly be.

Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked them.

BC: “I know how much he loves video games so I searched online for prom ideas for boyfriend and the video game thing popped up so I used that idea. It took me a couple of weeks to think of how I was gonna ask him to go to prom with me. I had some help from Mrs. Davis and Ms. Mazurik.”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

BC: “I chose him because he is my best friend, my partner in crime, my boyfriend, my everything.”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

BC: “I got the idea from how much he loves video games, so that’s how I got the idea to ask him to prom.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

BC: “He’s my boyfriend and my whole wide world.”

Promposee: Hunter McGarvey 

Eagle Eye: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

HM: “Because she knows what I like such as video games.”

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

HM: “She told me to go to the next room of Mrs. Davis’s room and then she had me come over and then she asked me. I felt very happy.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

HM: “I had no idea she was up to something until she asked to go to prom with her.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

HM: “This would be my first time going to prom so this should be a good reason why we should win. I love her very much so I couldn’t let her down so here goes nothing, prom here we come.”
