Duane and Makenzie: 1st annual Eagle Eye promposal contest winners!
The Eagle Eye is proud to announce the winner of the 1st annual promposal contest! Senior Duane Boone and sophomore Makenzie Stauffer! Congrats!
Senior Duane Boone is looking forward to “hurdling to prom” with his girlfriend junior Makenzie Stauffer.
Duane used hurdles to spell out “prom” and surprise Makenzie with a promposal before track practice.
He recently began hurdling and Makenzie has been hurdling since middle school, so it was obvious what to do. He was nervous to ask her to the prom but had help from many people, including, Courtney Kurtz, Grace McKernan, Mark Lewis, Connor Stroud, Cullen Raf, Diddy Mitchell, Jeff McNelis, and Sean Isenberg.
Makenzie was surprised by the track-inspired promposal.
“I knew I would say yes. How could I have said no?” said Stauffer.
Duane and Makenzie are excited for their pre-prom date at Pizza Hut. “They have a really good ten dollar box,” said Boone.
