The DelGrosso’s Italian Food and Heritage Festival has always been able to capture the essence of the DelGrosso family traditions, and this Sunday, September 17, marks the 28th year for the festival.

As always, the event will feature delicious Italian food, classic Italian music, and all of the park-side rides will be open all day.

“We are proud of our family heritage and traditions,” said Carl Crider Jr, President of DelGrosso’s Park, “If there is one thing Italians love, it is good food. This annual showcase of food, family, and fun is a celebration we look forward to every year.”

Homemade lasagna, chicken cacciatore, Italian wedding soup, and pasta fagioli are among the Italian specialties on the menu. There will also be breads from Pacifico Bakery and Mt. Carmel Church will sell biscotti, cannoli, and other Italian pastries.

Italian entertainer Daniela Pasquini, Marco Fiorante, and friends will perform on the stage at 1pm and 3pm. Faiella’s Father and Son Strolling Guitar and Mandolin Duo will keep the guests entertained throughout the day.

There will also be a historic vessel on display for the community.  The “Number One Lifeboat” from the famous Italian Line Ship Andrea Doria provided by Mark C. Koch.

Visitors to the park can also take advantage of car load prices. Each vehicle can get an All-Day Fun Pass for $15 per car, as long as they’re wearing seat belts.

So put on your red, white, and green, and head on over to the home of the best amusement park food for a day of fun.  The festival runs from 11am-5pm.
