The Tyrone High School cross country team recently gathered for an end of the year pizza party.

Seniors Joe Kohler and Rebekah Schleppy both received senior of the year awards.  Seniors also received jackets.

What are you going to miss most about cross country?

Bus ride shenanigans and food.

What was your favorite course of all time?

Central or Juanita Valley.

Why did you join the cross country team in the first place?

I like to run, and I felt like I’d be good at it.

Rebekah Schleppy

What are you going to miss most about cross country?

The food and the people

What was your favorite course of all time?

The Penns Valley course

Why did you join the cross country team in the first place?

Because Jonathan Clifton forced me into it. Plus, I like being active.

I’m going to miss coach Tammy, best coach ever

Bellwood, and Penns Valley

Why did you join the cross country team in the first place?

I love to run and cross country is in the fall, and Tammy was my coach for track, so I did it. That’s it.

Competing against all the great runners I’ve become friends with.

Lehigh

Why did you join the cross country team in the first place?

My parents made me my freshman year and I stuck with it.

I joined because I needed a reason to get out of bed and be active sometimes.

Placing 2nd as a team at districts

I ran in 5k’s in town when I was younger
