If you’ve been waiting for a chance to get connected with the community around you, you’re in luck; the Tyrone Carnival is coming to town.

Hosted by the Community Worship Center, the annual event is focused on bringing the people of Tyrone together and will take place on Saturday, September 3rd from 12-6 pm in the blocks surrounding the church on the corner of Bald Eagle Avenue and 13th Street in Tyrone.

The goal is to bless our community and show them that Jesus loves them

— Pastor Keith Deal

“The goal is to bless our community and show them that Jesus loves them,” said Pastor Keith Deal, “[It] is set up to be a day where all families can come and enjoy the fun without worrying about cost or paying out of pocket.”

The Carnival features activities for all ages that include free food, games, inflatables, and a live BMX stunt team.

However, neither the food nor the activities are the main point of the Carnival. Pastor Keith Deal has one goal in mind: bringing people to Jesus.

Keith and members of the congregation have been preparing for weeks.

“There is prep work that occurs each day of the week leading up to the event. The morning of the event, a set-up crew will start at 5 am to ensure everything is ready to go by 12 pm when the event begins. All of this work is vital behind the scenes so that the day of the event happens with little surprises,” said Deal.

Keith said that the idea for it all came personally to him through a message from God. Pastor Keith felt that he was meant to host an event to bless the families in the community. He wanted the message of the event to be simple from the beginning- Jesus loves you.

This event has had a significant impact on people in the community, including Tyrone senior Ethan Walk. “The carnival has been a good experience for me and I always look forward to having a good time. [It] is a great place for the community to come together and hear about Jesus,” said Walk.

Pastor Keith and Community Worship Center would like to thank their Platinum sponsors for helping put this event together:
