Senior standout pitcher, and four-year starter, Anna Baran is taking her softball talents to the collegiate level. Baran signed to play softball for Juniata college and major in Elementary Education.

EE: Why did you choose to go to this college?

AB: I love the atmosphere and I wanted to go to a small school, similar to Tyrone. I also wanted to find a softball team that felt like family to me, the way my summer ball team did. 

EE: What are  you most excited for in college?

AB: To meet new people and to be able to study something I am interested in. Also, of course to play softball!!

EE: What will you miss the most about playing sports at TAHS?

AB: The fans and playing with people I have known my whole life. My favorite part of TAHS will always be playing sports. 

EE: What advice would you give to younger athletes?

AB: Always work hard, because you will never know when your last game will be. Four years seems like a long time, but I promise it’s not. 

EE: What is your intended major?

AB: Elementary/ Special Education.
