Cate Baran was 1st team Altoona Mirror All-Star in 2018 and 2019. She recieved Altoona Mirror Athlete of the Week in 2019. She also broke the Tyrone strikeout record last year and led the softball team to the district title game.

Cate Baran: “My sister had started to play softball so I wanted to try it too.”

CB: “Swimming and soccer”

CB: “My parents because they are always at my games and there to support me in everything I do.”

EE: What advice would you give younger athletes?

CB: “To always play your hardest no matter what the score.”

CB: “Go to Juniata College for Biology/Pre-Physical Therapy and to continue my softball career there.”
