Athlete of the Week: Anslee Walk

Sport: Volleyball

Grade: 12

Accomplishments:

200 digs and 21 aces through 13 games this season; two year captain (chosen by teammates); will play ball at the next level she just isn’t sure where yet; has led the team in digs in every game this year.

Coach Mike Kraft’s Quote:

“Anslee has arrived where she is solely based on hard work and wanting to fall nothing short of perfection.  She’s a tough kid and THE ABSOLUTE REASON we are able to be successful both this year and last.  What she does on the court is much like what an offensive lineman does in football.  She always does the grueling, hard work and never gets the glory for it.  She’s okay with that.  She’s a modest kid and one of the most coachable athletes I have ever had the honor of coaching.  She’s one of those players that teaches the coach a lesson or two simply by her actions.  She’s a kid that just “gets it.”
