Fifth Annual Eagle Eye Promposal Contest
The 2019 Promposal contest is open from now until Friday, April 24. Send in your entries today!
If Groundhog Day is the first sign of spring, the Eagle Eye Promposal Contest certainly is the second!
Now in its fifth year, the Eagle Eye Promposal contest is one of our most popular annual events.
For those who don’t know what a “promposal” is, it is basically any really creative way of asking someone to prom. Last year we had 29 promposal entries in our contest, and this year we hope to get above 30.

This year there will again be prizes awarded in four categories: Best Overall, Funniest, Most Romantic, and Best Friend promposal.
- Best Overall Promposal: FREE Prom tickets* (ALL entries are eligible to win best overall!)
- Most Romantic Promposal: Free prom flowers from Garden Gate Floral in Tyrone.
- Best “Friend” Promposal: A candy basket filled with sweet and sour treats
- Funniest Promposal: A $25 restaurant gift card of the winners choice.
Winners will be determined by a vote via Google Forms during the last week of April or the first week of May.
*Since voting is not until late April, the winner of the overall prize will receive a full refund of their prepaid prom registration fee.
All TAHS students attending the 2019 Tyrone High School Prom are eligible to enter.
To enter, submit your promposal photo to the Eagle Eye. Send the picture(s) via Instagram, Twitter, email, or stop by the Eagle Eye newsroom (room 230) during first, second, fifth, or eighth period.
Also, pick up a promposal questionnaire sheet outside the Eagle Eye room and submit your answers.
Entries will only be considered with both a photo and a form.
Your photo and story will be published in the Eagle Eye as soon as possible.
The contest begins on Monday, February 4th and will end on Friday, April 24th.
