Tepsic to chase his football and career dreams at SFU

For senior Noah Tepsic playing college football is the fulfillment of childhood dream.

“I always wanted to play college football as a kid. When our season was over I had more of a desire than ever to play” said former Golden Eagle Noah Tepsic.

Noah plans to take his football talent up the mountain to Saint Francis University next fall.

When Tepsic began looking at colleges he got some attention from St. Francis, Slippery Rock and Juniata College, but ultimately he chose Saint Francis for academic reasons.

Tepsic hopes to get a doctorate in physical therapy, and if admitted to the physical therapy program as a freshman at SFU students are guaranteed admissions and acceptance to their PT graduate program if they maintain a good GPA. Also, according to Tepsic, Saint Francis provides a lot of hands-on practices, which appealed to him.

“I started to contact the football coach from Saint Francis,” said Tepsic, “Coach and I had exchanged emails, and I was invited to watch a game, but it was the day of our district championship so I couldn’t attend. When I took my college visit the head coach had made it official that I was on the team for the 2016 fall season.”

This shows how determined Tepsic was to reach his goal of playing college football for Saint Francis.

Tepsic said that he will likely play outside linebacker for the Red Flash.  To prepare, he is running track this season and lifting with the Saint Francis football team at SFU.

Playing for a different team is always hard, but luckily Tepsic will  find some familiar faces at SFU in former Golden Eagles Ryan Cox and James Oliver, class of 2014.
