The Lady Eagles fell to the Lady Bison 6-4 in a shooting showdown last night.

This match was the Eagles third this week and after upsetting Hollidaysburg and having to come back in the second half to beat Huntingdon, fatigue was definitely a factor in this Mountain League road game.

In the first half, Clearfield’s key to success was senior Raquel Grice. Grice had three goals and one assist on the night, to record a hat trick and contribute most of the goals against the Eagles.

Although Clearfield had scored four goals in the first half, the Lady Eagles answered each time. Bellwood freshman Riley D’Angelo had two goals, Bellwood senior Marissa Panasiti had one and junior Audrey Bowser also had one.

The Lady Bison were able to shut down the Lady Eagles in the second half, but it wasn’t until there was 12 minutes left that the Bison were able to seal the deal on goals by Grice and Alayna Ryan.
