YAN Club to Host 2nd Annual 4-D Movie Night on April 1st
All students in pre-K through 4th grade and their families are invited to attend.
Tyrone’s Youth Action Network (YAN) will hold its second annual 4D Movie Night for elementary students at the Tyrone High School Auditorium on Friday, April 1st. The doors open at 5:45 pm and the film will run from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This year’s 4D movie is Paddington Bear.
Admission is free to all Tyrone families with children ages Pre-K to grade 4. All children are encouraged to wear their pajamas to the event.
New this year, national celebrity Smokey the Bear will be at the movie to meet and greet the families and provide a fun educational program for the kids during intermission.
For those unfamiliar with 4-D movies, during the movie members of Tyrone’s YAN club will act out scenes, interact with the audience, and hand out treats to bring the movie to life for the children.
“It’s really a good time for the kids and we encourage all parents at the elementary school to bring the family to this fun event,” said YAN adviser Tracy Redinger.
Last year YAN has a total of 125 people come to their first 4-D movie night. They showed three movies last year, The Bee Movie, James and the Giant Peach, and Yogi Bear. To make the 4D experience better this year YAN decided to focus all their efforts on one movie.
YAN will also give each child in attendance a free book courtesy of the Tyrone Area School District.
