Tyrone attended their second invitational of the year at Bedford on April 15. With only two regular meets left in the season, the need for new personal records is higher than ever now that the team is entering the main invitational season.

Tyrone as a whole didn’t show their best however some individual performances deserve the recognition.

The guy’s top performances belonged to Justin Jackson and Andrew Weaver.

With a time of 17.06 Jackson takes 7th out of 32 other 110 hurdlers. As well as, Weaver jumping a 40’ 7.5” placing him 2nd out of 30 other jumpers.

More great performances can be found at the throwing field with Gavin Woomer placing 6th in the discus throwing a 110-06.

From the girl’s team Reagon Irons took most of the spotlight placing in three of her events (her fourth being the 4x100m relay).

Irons high jumped 5-0 placing herself 2nd out of 21 other high jumpers. Continuing the success she gets herself a 6th place in the long jump, jumping 15-3.75.

Finally, in her most successful event, she placed 1st in the triple jump with a jump of 33-8.25. To add to Irons achievements, she received the Woman Outstanding Jumper Award due to her continual placings and great jumps.

Another honorable mention goes to Bree Paul who placed 8th in the 300m hurdles with a time of 53.64. This time puts her exactly 0.55 seconds off of the Tyrone girls 300m hurdle record set by Peyton Wagner with time of 53.09 in 2016

In girl’s throws, Rayann Walls earn a 6th place in the girls discus throwing a 91-07.
